To enhance students’ interest in music, integrate diverse themes, promote the comprehensive development of character education, strengthen holistic education, foster a sense of belonging to the university, and create a more friendly campus environment.
Dear students, now is the time to pour your love for your alma mater and your creativity into musical notes by joining the Creative School Anthem Competition. Use your one-of-a-kind melody to compose a brand-new anthem for National Formosa University and showcase the unique charm of our university!

Registration Deadline: 113/09/19
Winners Announcement: 113/10/30

Christmas Performance Showcase: Tentatively scheduled for late December (performances by award winners)

 

Awards:

Champion (1 winner): NT$10,000

Runner-up (1 winner): NT$6,000

Second Runner-up (1 winner): NT$3,000

 

Event Guidelines:

1. Eligibility: Open to individual students or groups currently enrolled at National Formosa University; no limit on group size.

2. Work Requirements: Entries must be rearranged and performed based on the official school anthem. Lyrics may not be completely rewritten; musical style is unrestricted. The work must incorporate elements of the university and showcase the unique charm of National Formosa University. (School anthem sheet music file available in Appendix 1)

3. Judging Method: Participants must submit a vocal audio file of the song (formats: WAV, MP3, MP4, M4A, ACC, FLAC) and the adapted lyrics for evaluation by a professional judging panel (professional faculty members or club advisors).

4. Judging Criteria:

  1. Musical professionalism (arrangement and overall completeness of the song): 50%
  2. Creativity and integration with the school’s spirit and characteristics: 50%

5. Participants must sign a participation declaration and authorization consent form (Appendix 2), confirming that the work is original, that they hold the copyright, and granting the university permission to use the work for promotional purposes.

6. The judging panel will directly select the winning entries from all submissions, and the list of winners will be announced on 10/15.

7. Award winners will perform their creative school anthem live at the Christmas performance showcase in late December, sharing their unique creations with faculty and students across the campus!

  • Any changes to this event will be announced on the Art Center website. The organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the event details. Updated information will not be individually notified.
