“Reflections of Flowers and Water: A Duo Art Exhibition” features a joint presentation by Professor Wen-Hao Chu and Professor Dun-Ru Liao from the Department of Multimedia Design at National Formosa University.

The exhibited works encompass a wide range of media, including oil painting, watercolor, ink painting, acrylics, and botanical leaf painting, as well as installation art and multimedia creations. Professor Wen-Hao Chu employs delicate brushwork, layered light and shadow, and flowing colors to express both the ever-changing rhythms of nature and its enduring harmony; his works center on the theme of “water reflections.” The other exhibiting artist, Professor Dun-Ru Liao, adopts innovative approaches to botanical painting and ink art, combining meticulous floral painting with abstract techniques. She has developed a distinctive visual aesthetic known as “a touch of gold,” drawing inspiration from classical traditions while reinterpreting the decorative qualities of ancient “blue-and-green landscape” painting to create a new visual language; her works relate to the theme of “among flowers.” Accordingly, the curatorial theme of this exhibition, “Reflections of Flowers and Water,” brings together and interprets the artistic concepts of both creators.
